Forest bathing, also known as “shinrin yoku” in Japanese is the practice of bathing in the atmosphere of the forest.
Forest Bathing is a physiological and psychological exercise known as "shinrin-yoku" in Japanese. The term shinrin-yoku means forest bathing or taking in the atmosphere of the forest. The practice of forest bathing arose to reconnect with and conserve Japan's forests, as well as to combat tech burnout. Forest Bathing Walks can be as simple as mindfully walking in nature. Research shows that time spent in the natural world improves physical and mental health. Forest Bathing Walks are guided one-on-one or group 1-2 hour mindful walks in or near Fairfield County, CT. Group walks usually consist of 6-12 people. Forest Bathing Walks are offered on a bespoke basis.
